...headlines 2009's  festival! Troy  is probably best known in Australia as the most likeable bloke in country music! He is also one of Australia's most awarded and respected singer songwriters. Port Stephens is one of Australia’s great holiday destinations just one hour north of Newcastle and two hours north of Sydney on the NSW North Coast and is the home of the Blue Water Country Music Festival . In 2006 the Blue Water Country was introduced into the Australian Country Music calendar on the June long weekend at Port Stephens and Nelson Bay.  Now in its 4th year, the Festival has grown from 15 venues in 2006, to over 40 venues in 2008.    In some cases, the venues are on Cruise Boats which pass the day sailing amongst the dolphins in the Port Stephens waterways and the Karuah River a unique concept in Country Music, with the efforts of the organisers to ‘Bring the Country to the Coast’.
