Geography

The Port Stephens Local Government Area (LGA) covers an area of 979 sq. km. The LGA stretches approximately 55km east to west and 30km north to south. It is bounded by the Pacific Ocean to the east, the Paterson River to the west, the Hunter River to the south and Karuah River to the north.
