Nelson Bay is located on the eastern seaboard of NSW, just a two and a half hour drive from the centre of Sydney and less than one hour from Newcastle.Getting to Nelson Bay is easy, catch a bus, a train and bus, a plane and bus and hire a car, or drive.

Port Stephens Coaches operate a local bus service, for information click here. Buses connect with City Rail trains for transfers to Port Stephens. A coach service also departs Eddy Avenue, Central Station Sydney daily at 2.00pm for Port Stephens returning to Sydney at 9.00am daily.
Williamtown airport services the Newcastle and Hunter regions and is located 25 minute drive from Nelson Bay. Hire cars and bus transfers are available at the airport. Travelling to Nelson Bay by air makes it a handy 2 hours travel from Melbourne.

During December and January the Smart Bus operates around the Nelson Bay area from 6pm to midnight.
